Velux Window Installation

Transform a dark loft or attic with a Velux roof window. Velux windows bring natural light and fresh air into any room, making loft conversions, extensions, and dark spaces brighter and more pleasant. We are experienced Velux installers, fitting windows into both tiled and slated roofs with precise, weathertight flashing kits.

We install the full range of Velux products including top-hung, centre-pivot, and electric windows, as well as Velux sun tunnels for spaces where a full window is not practical. We also replace old or failed Velux windows and upgrade existing units with double or triple glazing for improved thermal performance. All installations include proper insulation, flashing, and internal finishing.

Lead Work & Dry Verge Systems

Lead work is a traditional craft that remains essential for weathertight roofing. We produce and install lead flashings, valleys, soakers, aprons, and gutters using genuine Code 3 to 8 lead sheet, installed in accordance with Lead Sheet Association guidelines. Our lead workers are skilled in traditional English lead working techniques.

Dry verge systems provide a modern, maintenance-free alternative to traditional mortar bedding at roof verges. We install dry verge units from Marley, Redland, and Klober that clip securely onto the tiles, providing a weathertight, wind-resistant finish that will not crack or crumble like mortar. Dry verge systems are available in colours to match your tiles and come with manufacturer warranties of 15 to 25 years.

Roof Insulation

Up to 25 per cent of a property heat is lost through the roof. Proper insulation can significantly reduce your energy bills and improve comfort. We install loft insulation, warm deck insulation for flat roofs, and between-rafter insulation for loft conversions, using high-performance materials from leading manufacturers.

For existing lofts, we top up insulation to the current Building Regulations standard of 270mm of mineral wool, laid between and across the joists. For flat roofs, we install rigid foam insulation boards as part of a warm deck construction. For loft conversions, we install between-rafter insulation to create a warm, habitable space. All insulation work is carried out to current Building Regulations standards.

Moss Removal & Insurance Work

Moss growth on roofs is a common problem in Leicestershire, particularly on north-facing slopes and properties surrounded by trees. Moss retains moisture, which can cause tiles to crack in frost and accelerate the degradation of the roof covering. We safely remove moss using specialist tools - never pressure washers, which can damage tiles - and treat the roof with a biocide to slow regrowth.
